Adidas & Puma - The History

Do you know about Puma or Adidas? If you do, then you must know that they are two exceedingly popular shoes. But do you know anything else about the brands? If not, this is the article for you.

As you may know, Puma and Adidas are extremely popular brands. Look at your shoes, are you wearing either puma or Adidas for the brands of your shoes? Well, enough to talk I will tell you things about the brands and stop asking you these questions.

Puma and Adidas were founded in 1918–1945. Adolf Dassler was the creator of Adidas, and it (to most people’s opinions) is the best shoe store in the world not only because of the design, but because the comfort is nice. Plus, they are not as expensive.

Puma and Adidas are quite different shoes. Not only do they have a cool history of shoes but the history of the creators of puma and Adidas.

History of PUMA and ADIDAS

Puma creator (Rudolf Dassler) and Adidas creator (Adolf Dassler) Were the top hit’s from (3 November 1900 – 6 September 1978) they had a supply full of shoes until 1978. The brother Adolf Dassler had passed away. After Adolf's death, the factory kept coming out with the latest ideas and new shoes. They did not have such a great builder and creator as Adolf. But still, the workers kept looking and searching for great builders. Many people know that Puma is not as popular as Adidas, but their products are worth it. Many of you who are reading this article are reading to know more about Puma and Adidas. Not only do you want to know about Puma and Adidas but the world, wants to understand what the true story of the Dassler Family was, and this is what it is about... In 1898 Adolf Dassler was born in Herzogenaurach, part of the German Empire, to a middle-class family. His brother Adolf was born in 1900. They founded a company Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik, or Geda for short. They had Geba had made a success demonstrated in the 1936 Olympics where the legendary African-American runner Jesse Owens wore Geda shoes as he won a gold medal. (As you all may know Jesse Owens is. A famous runner) As the story goes on, the factory had a pause because of World War ll. After the war ended, Rudolf returned, and Geda's operations resumed. In 1948, after over 30 years of working together, Adolf and Rudolf abruptly shuttered Geda and separated. Two reasons for the feud that are cited are strife between their respective wives, who did not get along well. In 1948 Rudolf established Puma, which was initially named Ruda (short for Rudolf Dassler) but later was renamed Puma after the animal. They had named the name Puma, not Ruda because they believed that the shoes gave so running Advantage. In the following three decades, both Adidas and Puma rose to dominance and signed deals with athletes such as Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier (Adidas) and members of the Brazil national football team (Puma). Adidas introduced shoes customized for different sports and grew rapidly. Puma, driven by Rudolf's sophisticated approach, kept chasing Adidas throughout these decades.

At Concordia international school shanghai, the girls' soccer APAC and Junior APAC teams, both had teams had shoes by Puma and Adidas. This is only one example of 2 successful teams out of 5 million school teams wearing the shoes of the Dassler Brothers.
