If you have a pet, then you probably have trouble imagining life without them. Pets can help kids have experiences they otherwise could not have had. Pets can help kids through challenging times, and unlike a friend or family member, it is not easy to fall out with your pet hamster. Suffice it to say, pets are an essential part of kids' lives. However, that raises the question, what is the best pet? Keep reading, and by the end of this article, you might have a clearer idea of this situation......

In a recent survey done at Concordia International School Shanghai, the results showed that out of 62 children in the 5th and 6th grade, there were 19 who owned dogs, 11 who owned cats, 3 who owned birds, 9 who owned fish, 9 who owned reptiles, 7 who owned some other pet, and 26 who didn’t own any. However, everyone has a different personality, so, depending on who you are, everyone’s dream pet is different. Keep reading to find out which pet is perfect for you.

If you have a huge, colorful imagination, then the pet for you is a parrot. Most people think of parrots as the squawking rainbow-colored birds in cartoons who repeat everything they hear. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. If you want a parrot that can speak, then the best bet for you would be Budgies, otherwise known as Parakeets, who, although being one of the smaller breeds of parrots, have surprisingly good vocal skills and have developed a wide range of vocabulary. But if you just want a parrot that does not need too much fussing over, then a smart choice would be the Cockatiel. Cockatiels are loving, friendly, and outgoing parrots. They require about 2 hours of playing outside their cage, and a large cage along with an assortment of perches and toys.

If you’re someone who’s athletic and always on the move, then a dog would be perfect for you. You’re always on the move, and you need a pet who can catch up! Dogs, specifically greyhounds, are extremely athletic and require lots of exercise. Activities such as jogging and fetch are perfect when taking care of greyhounds.

If you love being with nature and breathing in fresh air, then a corgi is the pet for you. They love being outdoors just as much as you do! Their characteristics mainly consist of being happy, smart, fun-loving, loyal, and playful.

If you are ambitious and driven to go far in life, or you prefer nicer things, the pet that will fit right into your world would be a Persian cat. The dignified and docile Persian cat is known for being quiet and sweet. Although Persians tend to be relaxed and easygoing, they also command an air of royalty. Although they might not be quick to hiss or scratch, that doesn't mean they won't become annoyed when bothered by loud children or other pets. (“Are Black Persian Cats Rare - Kitten Buy”) (“Are Black Persian Cats Rare - Kitten Buy”) They make excellent pets for people of all ages.

If you are unique and adventurous, then a sphynx cat is the pet for you. Sphynx cats make great pets. However, you will need to put lots of effort into their special needs. Not only does their lack of fur result in issues with cold temperature, but it also makes them prone to sunburn.

If you’re a nurturing, homebody type, then the pet for you is a golden retriever. They’re loyal, caring, and smart. If you want to own a golden retriever as a pet, some things you should consider are first if all, they require lots of time with their owners and daily grooming, but they still make amazing, loyal pets.

If you have a clever mind and love to keep learning, then a smart pet like a border collie would be a perfect match for you. In general, Border Collies are energetic, even-tempered and eager to please, making them an excellent choice for a family pet. “They get along well with children and other pets provided they are introduced properly.” (“Are Border Collies Smarter Than Labs - DogsQuery”) If you are getting a border collie, here are 5 tips for you from The Royvon Way:

1. Play with your dog!

2. Border collies require lots of socialization

3. Get your dog involved in lots of activities

4. Make sure they have their own space

5. Keep them happy and healthy

If you want a pet that isn’t that active or you’re just too lazy to take your pet out for a walk every day, then a snake is the best pet for you. Although some may see them as scary, snakes are some of the easiest pets to own. They are much friendlier than their reputation suggests. They don't need to be walked or trained to use the toilet, and they use the toilet quite irregularly, so cleanup is easy. They're quite docile (easy to handle) pets too, and if you pick one that's non-venomous, it can cause even less harm than dogs or cats do. They're also very affordable and taking care of them normally only costs single digits per week.

No matter what pet you own or would like to own, you can make it your perfect match. This shows that there is no best pet, just a pet that’s perfect for you. Having a pet is like having a friend, it will be loyal, kind, smart and loving. All you have to do is love them, and they will love you back.
